My mom has a green thumb that just keeps on flourishing. Ever the patient gardener, she continues to expand the areas in which she grows. From our small gardens growing up, to a large now deer proof flower garden, orchards and sprinkles of vegetables, roses, hydrangeas and many other new plants every year, she just can't stop herself. First came a greenhouse, then she took over the old horse barn as a garden shed and tool storage, but her latest adventure is a new potting shed. A structure just for floral arrangements, bucket and vase storage, enough table or counter space to arrange on and maybe even a small table and chairs, this new shed will serve its purpose well.
So after many inspiration sessions, we landed on a design that seems both farmhouse enough and charming enough while also utilitarian. I thought I'd share some inspiring garden sheds today for your romantic garden shed dreams.
This first shed is the quintessential white farmhouse style shed. The stuff country dreams are made of. Although I can't say that I will be carting around compost in that primitive wheelbarrow basket thing, the shed is supreme.
Now if only our garden tools looked this tidy and charming! The brick and the dark green lend an english garden vibe to this tool storage spot. In my dreams someday we may be this organized, but then again maybe I'll just need to keep this in my back pocket for inspiration purposes.

Talk about the perfect farmhouse style garden shed. I mean the barn door complete with a wreath for the season, the horse weathervane and even the cute pulley wheel in the front. (Many old barns have a pulley wheel used to lift hay into storage) I think my mother needs a weathervane for sure!

This tiny little garden shed lives in the English countryside in East Sussex residing at Walnuts Farm. The farm is featured in many photo shoots as the backdrop. Bella and Nick Ivins even have a book, The New Homesteader, all about how to start your own modern homestead.

This cute little white shed is the idea that my mom originally had. Shelves for pot storage, a huge counter for making arrangements and lots of natural light.

Of course Joanna Gaines' garden shed would inspire us. I mean that dreamy cottage, farmhouse, rustic look is tough to beat. And this one doubles as a rustic garden retreat for lunches or getting lost in a good book!

I get a little too excited over a well organized potting space. Although this looks like a corner of a greenhouse and I'm sure it is humid and toasty to arrange in there, it still looks so dreamy.

Now my mother has already decided to go with a white board and batten style garden shed, but this black shed evokes such an english tone to it. Perhaps it's the brick pavers or maybe it's the boxwoods in english style planter boxes. A moody backyard garden escape.

I hope these gave you a little bit of afternoon inspiration for your garden shed dreams. While the she-shed faze seems to be fading a bit, there's always space for a working shed to store all your tools, that doubles also as a charming abode.
